COMOX VALLEY, B.C- The Comox Valley Community Foundation is saying ‘thank you’ to four retiring members.
Dr. Harry Panjer, Brenda Kelm, Bert Heeringa and Bruce Bell are all are receiving praise from the CVCF.
President Matt Beckett says all four have made great contributions to both the foundation and the community.
“Harry, Brenda, Bert and Bruce are all strong supporters of the Community Foundation and our mission to enrich life in the Comox Valley.”
“We cannot thank them enough for their leadership and contributions over the years. The gifts of their time and expertise offer a legacy to the CVCF and to our community that will be felt for many years to come,” Beckett added.
Dr.Panjer served on the Board of Directors for more than six years, most recently as Vice President. He was also the boards 9th president.
Brenda Kelm served as the CVCF’s Treasurer for almost six years. In addition to overseeing the Foundation’s finances. She also introduced and led many initiatives, including the recent adoption of a new fund and donor management platform.
Bert Heeringa served for more than three years, most recently as the Chair of the Marketing and Fund Development committee.
Bruce Bell was a strong backbone for the foundation, as well as an experienced CVCF Fund holder.
Bell stepped down from the Board to take the role of Chair of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
Founded in 1996, the Comox Valley Community Foundation is a public charitable foundation that works with families, businesses and organizations to support the Comox Valley and its residents.
